Question by aquablue555: What help can you get an Alcoholic apart from AA.?
Hi my sister has a serious alcohol problem and has been in and out of hospital with it. She has lost so much weight recently also and is now a size 6-8 and is 5′ 9″ tall. She is really ill with it and really needs help. A weeks detox in hospital is no good for her. She has been on anitbuse and this only works for a few weeks then she drinks again. Can anyone recommend any detox centres that keep the drinker in for more than a week to help dry them out. If this doesn’t happen by the end of this year i will no longer have a sister. The doctors are fed up with her as well and don’t help much anyway. What can i do she is only 39 with no kids but a loving husband. Please can someone out there help.
